An integrated approach to data management from assay request to data storage based on BioRails and Morphit
This poster, presented at the DMDG GMP 2016 joint meeting in Paris in October 2016, demonstrates the advantages of applying a workflow driven approach to assay request and data collection in drug discovery and development.
The reliance on generic spread sheets requiring manual data handling can lead to inefficiency and human errors. Time is lost checking to see if data reaches defined quality criteria and if it is ready for the next step.
Annalisa Pellacani, Aptuit Discovery DMPK, and Andrew Lemon, The Edge Software Consultancy Ltd, discuss new tools used to track request accomplishment and to reduce manual data manipulation and checking, therefore increasing efficiency, standardization and quality.
