Aptuit is a pharmaceutical service company that conducts research, development and manufacturing on a contract basis for both large and small innovators. Our mission is to "engineer a better drug development process" to serve these two very different clients equally well but in very different ways.

First, we are assembling a complete suite of services from discovery to proof-of-concept and constructing the related manufacturing services from discovery to launch. Along the way, we are opportunistically inventing and acquiring novel technologies and services that allow our clients to differentiate their drug development programs.

Two of our primary objectives are linked: to offer integrated development solutions and to operate without paper. To achieve this, we are investing over $50 million to convert deeply-ingrained and inefficient paper-based processes into an electronic system that is web-accessible to our clients. By becoming paperless and by linking data, projects and contracts with our clients in real-time, we are setting the stage for cycle-time reduction and process improvement to enable real-time decision-making.

We call our discovery to proof-of-concept services Scientific Operations and have nearly assembled the complete suite in North America, Europe, and Asia. We call the related manufacturing services from discovery to launch Clinical Operations and are building and buying these capabilities in competitive cost environments. Today, Aptuit generates over $350 million of revenues from approximately 750 clients and employs over 2,750 individuals in 18 global facilities.

Aptuit’s Scientific Operations segment delivers a unique global supply chain where small scale development and formulation occurs in the US and Europe with commercial scale undertaken in Aptuit Laurus’ new state-of-the-art facilities in India. Aptuit Consulting overlays these capabilities with highly experienced scientists based throughout the US and Europe, each with successful track records managing multiple aspects of pharmaceutical R&D.

Aptuit’s Clinical Operations segment is the second largest global provider of clinical packaging and logistics services by capacity, with over 600,000 square feet in 30 international clinical distribution sites. Within Clinical Operations, Aptuit Informatics develops, markets, and services best-of-breed, mission-critical information systems to support customers throughout the entire drug development continuum.
