At Aptuit, we are committed to therapeutic area specialization.
Our Discovery Pharmacology services are used to screen compounds for lead candidate selection and test pharmacological efficacy in a range of specialist in vitro and in vivo pharmacological disease models covering respiratory and inflammation, the central nervous system (CNS), oncology, and the cardiovascular system.
We have significant expertise gained from our experience in pharmaceutical and contract research industries, as well as academia, and produce high quality data and reports on which strategic development decisions may be confidently based. Studies are designed to suit individual compounds under evaluation and to accommodate client specific requirements.
Our
Discovery Pharmacology services include:
- Respiratory and Inflammation - Our group has a wide range of models in respiratory disease and offer a number of animal models displaying characteristic pathologies of diseases in which the efficacy of your potential new drugs may be investigated
- CNS - Studies to support drug discovery and definition of efficacy of compounds in models of CNS disorders. In addition we can also test for general CNS effects using a battery of behavioural tests
- Oncology - Studies range from cell-based cytotoxicity assays in vitro to xenograft models utilizing a range of human tumour cell lines
- Cardiovascular - Studies to support drug discovery and definition of efficacy of compounds in various cardiovascular disease models
- Rapid ICE - The advent of automated patch-clamp recording and the subsequent launch of our Rapid ICE service has revolutionized the use of electrophysiology in drug discovery and development. With this technology, we can improve productivity at reduced cost and provide you with information on the cardiac safety profile of drug candidates at an earlier stage in development
