Aptuit are pleased to announce organizational improvements and new senior leadership appointments to our Pharmaceutics and PAC organizations in N. America and Europe.
Aptuit are pleased to announce organizational improvements and new senior leadership appointments to our Pharmaceutics and PAC organizations in N. America and Europe. These changes and senior additions to the Aptuit team will allow us to continue our solid growth and to consolidate our position as a leader in early pharmaceutical substance and product development and supply.
European Operations
Ian Low will be joining Aptuit on May 14 as Senior Director, Scientific Operations. Ian will be responsible for the day-to-day performance and management of our European Pharmaceutics and Physical & Analytical Chemistry operations. Ian will also manage the expansion of those operations and their move from Riccarton to purpose-built, larger capacity facilities. Ian has worked for 35 years in the pharmaceutical development industry and was most recently with Rhodia Pharma Solutions in Scotland. Ian has developed strong skills in staff communication, alignment and performance management. He is a seasoned leader who I expect to provide considerable insight to our operation.
In advance of Ian’s arrival, Jane Fraser has led an exercise to simplify the reporting structure of our Pharmaceutics operation in Scotland. All manufacturing operations have been consolidated under Harriet Woolvern. Harriet’s organization will focus on small- and large-scale manufacturing and support services. We believe these changes are more transparent to our customers and will allow us to grow our core early development business. I would like to thank Jane for taking a strong lead in Pharmaceutics over the past few months.
North American Operations
Matt Molan will be joining Aptuit on August 1 as Senior Director, Pharmaceutics based in Kansas City. Matt will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Kansas City team and will lead the expansion of the Pharmaceutics business in N America. Most immediately, Matt will focus on the needs of early development clients by expanding our capacity in Kansas City. Matt joins us from Pfizer, Ann Arbor, MI where spent six years and was most immediately Sr. Director, Research Formulations. Matt brings a keen insight to the needs of our customers and is a skilled team builder in a very demanding environment.
We wish to express our sincere thanks to Paul Kennedy for acting as leader for the N. American Pharmaceutics group over the past few months. Paul has tirelessly planned the expansion of our steriles manufacturing group and dealt with the day-to-day management of the team during a period of remarkable expansion. Matt’s arrival will allow Paul to dedicate his time to hiring new people into the liquid/steriles group and to designing the next phase of our growth in that area.
Ian’s arrival in Europe allows Sally Byrn to focus on our plans to expand PAC in Kansas City and West Lafayette. We are making permanent a simplified West Lafayette reporting structure that has been in operation since early March and is working well. Jan-Olaf Henck, Pam Smith and Jerry Becker will continue to report directly to Sally Byrn.
